The two exhibitions Body, automata and robots. Between art, science and technology and look at me. The exhibition is divided into two sections: The first, staged at Villa Ciani, traces the history of automata, by proposing a survey from classical Greece to the present day and includes some of the most advanced technology products such as robots, androids, etc.. The second, presented to the Art Museum provides space for reflection on the artistic creation of modern and contemporary art focusing on the relationship and body-body-machine technology. The exhibition of the Museo Cantonale d'Arte was born from a series of questions: it is still reasonable to think the representation of the face as an index of identity? How significant correspondence between sign and thing, image and subject? A reflection on the subject today is confronted by necessity, on artistic grounds, with the deconstruction of the face that fraction, is veiled, warps, delete, resisting any form of unique identity between model / figure, the subject / image.
